Idea2Market Africa is a Non-Profit Organisation registered in Ghana in 2017, and created in response to the growing need to focus on technology development, deployment and diffusion of home-grown innovations for economic and social impact. The mission of Idea2Market is to enhance the commercialisation of home-grown technologies in Africa, strengthen institutional linkages in the innovation ecosystem and to boost private sector participation in the innovation development process.
Currently Idea2market runs three projects all aimed at supporting African innovators to develop, deploy and diffuse Africa based innovations and entrepreneurship. These projects are the InnovACTION Innovation Readiness Program, the Global Network of Innovation Experts for Africa and Distance and eLearning support for African universities.
Programs
The InnovACTION Innovation Readiness Program is a special program to help develop, deploy and diffuse innovations in Africa. It is implemented through an Innovaction Fellowship Program, providing training , coaching and research support to young innovators and entrepreneurs.t
The Global Network of Innovation Experts for Africa is established to to spur stakeholder action in defining, positioning and recommending appropriate approaches to innovation in Africa. The Network leads discussions on innovation development and disseminates cutting edge research on innovation and entrepreneurship in Africa.
Innovation and eLearning Support to Academic Institutions
Idea2Market provide strategy and implementation support to Africa-based universities and colleges establish centers of innovation and integrate eLearning tools into their existing programs
